Description

Meet your guide and begin your day at the time specified on your tour itinerary. First, go to the House of Virgin Mary. This church, located 6 kilometers north of the ruins of Ephesus, was built in the sixth century AD on the foundations of a house from the first century AD.

Next, visit Ephesus, an archaeological treasure and the best-preserved classical city in the eastern Mediterranean. During the first century AD, Ephesus was the world's second largest city after Rome, with over 250.000 inhabitants.

It was located in the center of the known world and served as a gateway between the East and the West. With its massive harbor, it was also a trading hub in antiquity.

It also houses the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Walking through the ancient streets among the beautiful monuments, such as the third largest library in the ancient world or the largest Roman theatre on the Asian continent, gives you the impression that you are traveling through time.
After lunch, head to the Artemis Temple. Its ancient Cult of Artemis was well-known in antiquity, and Ephesus became a popular pilgrimage site. Return to your hotel or port after the tour.
